back to school

I am blessed to teach middle school. It is a hard job and I get to grow a lot by doing it. They ask for a lot from you. Freedom AND boundaries. Choices AND limits. I'm always learning how to balance those better. At the end of the day, I want the kids to know and be responsible for their freedom and their choices. I want them to know that they are making choices all the time. They are weighing their options and choosing, travelling a fork in the multiverse. And there they find themselves, faced with the consequences of their actions.

I want them to make good choices for themselves. Choices that will help them get to where they want to go. I want to help them get to know where they want to go by giving them safe, loving space to show up. Love is light. To see someone is to love them. And there is always more to see.
